NYC Insider Guide October Events Calendar

New York City Events October 2013 include NY Giants and Jets Football, Halloween, Columbus Day Parade, New York City Wine & Food Festival, New York Television Festival. October concerts include Selena Gomez, Tony Bennet and nine inch nails. As October is usually the beginning of fall in NYC, the leaves, especially in Central Park, are just glorious and the first hints appear the holiday season is just around the corner.

The whole city is gearing up for Halloween and lightweight coats are the dress code. If we’re lucky, the NY Yankees are on their way to the World Series and the NY Giants and NY Jets are doing well so far in football season. Add your event to the New York City Events Activities October calendar.

Digital Ascension II a Performance by Laura Moonlight & Mirabelle Jones
    Date: October 30th, 2013
    Time: 7:45 PM – 9:30 PM
Address: 268 Kosciusko St. Brooklyn Ny 11221
Digital Ascension II is a performance by Los Angeles-based artist and internet spiritualist Laura Moonlight’s produced by performance artist Mirabelle Jones. This performance is the second in the ongoing series Digital Ascension concerning the elevation of the human spirit by way of digital and social media. In an era when our physical presence is confused or complicated by our digital manifestations, it can be difficult to isolate the true identity behind what is projected into both the digital and physical world. In “Digital Ascension II” a performance by renown performance artist and internet spiritualist Laura Moonlight of the Moonlight Society, you will undergo life changing experiences which will guide you into a higher state of being, one which transgresses divisions between embodied and pixelized impressions of the human self. It will be revealed that technology is not a barrier to identity but a tool one can use to obtain a more complex and therefor more complete comprehension of one’s physio-digital identity.

Andrew Goffman takes his audience on a hilarious and self-deprecating journey into a world of video vixens, X-Rated fantasies, and really DIRTY movies with no redeeming value whatsoever. He found the tapes at 11 years-of-age. The addiction controlled him until he was 26. THE YEAR HE MET HIS WIFE.
