The National Puerto Rican Day Parade, held annually on the second Sunday in June, is the successor to the New York Puerto Rican Day Parade, an event that operated for thirty-eight (38) consecutive years, enhancing the pride of the Puerto Rican people and promoting their contributions to the United States.

Note: This parade is one of the most popular Events in NYC, so getting around NYC on this day, especially on the East Side or anywhere near Museum Mile is a challenge. Please plan accordingly.

River to River Festival

River to River Festival Founded in 2002, following September 11, 2001, the River to River Festival is a world-class performing arts festival originally intended as tool for the revitalization of Lower Manhattan. Now in its 11th season, the Festival is the largest summer-long free arts festival in New York City’s history and has not only assisted in renewal, but transformed Downtown into a major cultural destination during the summer.

The festival takes place in a variety of public venues that canvas all of Downtown New York – from Chambers Street down to the southern tip of Manhattan and across the island from river to river. The River to River Festival is a great choice for New York City Events June.
