Subway Directions To Citi Field

Take the 7 (purple) train from Grand Central or Times Square to the Mets/Willets Point Station, about 30 minutes. You can also take a 16 minute LIRR train ride from Penn Station. You’ll always know when to get off the subway – just follow the other 40,000 fans to Citi Field!

NYC Insider Tip – Avoid lines after the Game

Fill up your Metrocard, if it’s not Unlimited Ride, before you go to the game, or you’ll be waiting for hours trying to fill it at the subway station after the game.

Did You Know? The National Tennis Center, home of the US Open, is less than a 10 minute walk from Citi Field, off the same subway stop!

About the New York Mets

They went the distance to the World Series in 2015. Building around face-of-the-franchise, David Wright, made a Met for life with his 8-year $138M contract, Sandy Alderson has put together a core of young major league talent with a crop of top flight minor leaguers right behind them. The Mets have a strong rotation in 2015, boasting two high-end youngsters, Harvey and deGrom, and two boringly reliable veterans, Colon and Niese. Syndergaard, who Baseball America recently ranked as the 11th-best prospect in baseball, will almost certainly make his MLB debut at some point this year.
