Shakespeare in the Park 2023

Every year, stars such as Meryl Streep, Al Pacino and James Earl Jones perform modern interpretations of various Shakespeare plays in Central Park at the recently redone 1,800 seat open-air theater and they are attended by over 80,000 people. The Art Renewal Center presents the 16th International ARC Salon Exhibition hosted by Sotheby’s NY. This exhibition will include 95 works from the largest competition in the world for Contemporary Representational Art, taking place from July 14 – July 24, 2023. The Grand Public Opening will be on July 15, 11am – 3pm. 60 of the exhibiting works will also be available for sale in an online benefit auction hosted on sothebys.com. Bryant Park is hosting twenty-six live and in-person music, dance, and theater events produced in partnership with a diverse lineup of New York City’s performing arts institutions. Some featured partners are Carnegie Hall Citywide, The Town Hall, Joe’s Pub, The Classical Theatre of Harlem, American Symphony Orchestra, New York City Opera and many more. At the end of May (Memorial Day Weekend) and mid July each year, for 2 days each, we experience Manhattanhenge in NYC, which is when the sunset lines up exactly with certain streets in NYC and you can see the whole sun set from the Hudson River to the East River in NYC, on certain streets. To get a view of Manhattanhenge in NYC, you’ll want a spot on one of our streets that goes River to River (these are the streets where traffic goes both ways and the buses cross town) – 14th St, 23rd St, 34th St, 42nd St (photo) & 57th St

Ticketing Options - Broadway Theatre is transformed into a club and the audience is immersed in the show, so Here Lies Love is completely different than the usual Broadway watching and the ticket options are different. The show will have two shows each (matinée & evening) on both Saturday and Sunday, runs 90 minutes and no intermission.
- Floor (Standing) – Stand on the dance floor (no seats). Dancing is encouraged. You'll be guided around the performance space throughout the 90-minute show and will stand and move with the actors. All coats, bags, and personal belongings must be checked. Wheelchair tickets are available on the floor.
- Floorside Seats – Elevated seating alongside the dance floor, with two rows of chairs located directly above the action happening right in front of you. You'll enjoy the show from a point of view that was designed specifically for this experience. Accessible seating is located in Floorside Sections 1 and 2.
- Front Mezzanine – Seated in a traditional theater seat, while still close to the action. The performance extends up to you from the dance floor just below, with actors performing throughout the entire space.
- Rear Mezzanine – Seated in a theater seat with a panoramic view of the action. The most traditional, familiar experience for theatergoers.
- VIP Lounge – An exclusive premium experience where the entire show is performed right in front of you, within a closed lounge space with a private bar.

Touted as the "The Ultimate New York Festival," Lincoln Center is back this year with a bang - hosting over 300 events all summer long. Dancing Under the Stars (formerly Midsummer Night Swing), free outdoor movies, dancing, singing, readings, celebrations, flamingos, disco ball, poetry, Mozart, concerts, crafts, Juneteenth and much more!

Little Island NYC
Pier 55 & Hudson River Park Greenway, NY 10014
Roughly 14th St, West of Chelsea Market
NYC’s new Little Island in the Hudson River resembles a leaf floating on water with a base of tulip-shaped pots and seating lawns, gentle slopes, winding pathways leading to dazzling views, and a variety of spaces for performances, play rest and relaxation. The island is open daily and for 2023, no reservations or tickets are required to visit or attend any of the programming.
Perform in the Park, Events in the Amph ++
June - September
Beginning Wednesday, June 7 join Little Island for another summer of free programming including intimate performances from Tony and Grammy Award winners in The Glade, late night djs, drag bingo, and dance parties in The Play Ground, weekly artmaking activities for all ages and Teen Night every Friday.
