Every year, stars such as Meryl Streep, Al Pacino and James Earl Jones perform modern interpretations of various Shakespeare plays in Central Park at the 1,800 seat open-air theater and they are attended by over 80,000 people.

2012 plays are As You Like It (June 5-30) and Into the Woods (July 23-Aug 25)

Midsummer Night Swing at Lincoln Center

Each year, for 3 weeks, Tues-Sun, Midsummer Night Swing turns Lincoln Center into a hopping open-air dance hall with blazing live bands laying down the rhythms you love, from swing to salsa, tango, funk, disco, and more.

The dance party is equally fun to watch, or participate and draws a huge crowd.

Also held on the last day are the Gay Pride Festival, along with the annual Dance on the Pier, following the parade wrapping up Gay Pride Week in a grand fireworks display.

Includes round-trip ferry transportation from Battery Park Pier, Gangway 3 in Battery Park, Manhattan or shuttle service from the New Jersey Transit Hudson-Bergen Light Rail, Liberty State Park Station. Tickets must be purchased in advance; there will be no opportunity to purchase tickets onsite.

POLO STYLE - Gentlemen are kindly requested to wear a summer suit and ladies their most daring hat! This popular event attracts a chic, fashionable crowd from around the globe.

2012 Changes: The event is not free, tickets are $25 and must be purchased in advance. The Polo Match is moved to New Jersey. No parking is available. Picnic Baskets are available for order in advance. There is a five drink maximum per person.

Guests are invited to watch world-renowned polo player and event co-host Nacho Figueras and his team, Black Watch, go head-to-head against some of the best polo players in the world, all while sipping Veuve Clicquot and enjoying food offerings from Silkstone, well known for chic farm-to-table establishments, The Fat Radish in New York City and Ruschmeyer's in Montauk.

2011 Co-Hosts included Nacho Figueras & Delfina Blaquier, Marc Jacobs and Donna Karan, and the Master of Ceremonies is Hugh Jackman. Prior guests have included Madonna, Prince Harry, Kate Hudson and LL Cool J, and prior competitors included Prince Harry and Nacho Figueras.

The National Puerto Rican Day Parade is the successor to the New York Puerto Rican Day Parade, an event that operated for thirty-eight (38) consecutive years, enhancing the pride of the Puerto Rican people and promoting their contributions to the United States.

Note: Getting around NYC on this day, especially on the East Side or anywhere near Museum Mile is a challenge. Please plan accordingly.
