MASHUP Stories Into Song is a show concept that combines storytelling and songs in an entirely unique way. Songwriters Jude Treder-Wolff and Wells Hanley find compelling stories told by some of New York’s best storytellers, and write a song inspired by each one. These songs are not a re-telling of the story – they pick up on a theme, a feeling, and energy from the story and expand on it. The story and song are performed together, with a singer selected as a match for the song’s style and feeling. Each show has a mix of deep emotion, comedy, and great ideas explored in the most entertaining way.
