Photo Taken atop CitySights NY Double Decker Bus
New York Bus Tour Review
My first time in New York City was jam packed with things to see, so I wanted to be sure and see as much as I could while I was there. One of my options was to take a New York City bus tour, and it turned out to be a great experience. I chose to take a CitySights NY hop-on hop-off tour on a double decker bus. The buses were great simply because you got to ride up on top, on the outside, giving all sorts of photo opportunities while touring the city.
The All Around Town tour was the best option for us, giving us a ticket which was valid for 48 hours. The New York City Bus Tour took us throughout the Uptown, Downtown areas, as well as Brooklyn. I even took the opportunity of a night tour which was a whole different experience, no better way to see the lights at night in Times Square. This tour package also included a Circle Line harbor boat cruise, as well as a ticket to the Museum of the City of New York. We didn’t make time for the museum, but the harbor cruise was an excellent time.
The New York City Bus Tour guides were very helpful and informative at all times. There were a few moments where it was difficult to hear what the guide was saying through their microphone, but accommodations were made quickly so that everyone who wanted to hear could hear. The hop-on hop-off choices made it easy to get to our destinations. There were plenty of buses in operation, so we never had to wait too long for another one to pick us up. We were given guidebooks which were a great help during our tours. A coupon book was also given, which allowed us to find a few good discounts during our stay.
If you’re looking for a good way to see the New York City, I highly recommend a New York City Bus Tour; you are sure to have a great time.
