New York City Helicopter Tours are amazing!!!! I really did not think a NYC Helicopter Tour would be that cool, especially for the price. I’ve flown in and out of NYC’s three airports hundreds of times, and seen the skyline from every angle, or so I thought, until I took to the skies on a helicopter tour. I’m happy to tell you, I have been proven wrong…I LOVED IT!

The views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Governor’s Island, World Trade Center, Wall Street, Empire State Building Central Park, Yankee Stadium and so much more were fantastic…check out some of my photos.

Liberty Helicopter Tours and Manhattan Helicopter Tours are two of the top helicopter tour companies. Their New York City Helicopter Tours and prices are very similar, so it’s really a matter of the best deal you can find and I’ve laid out a variety of options below. My tour was with Liberty Helicopters, but both companies leave from the same heliport downtown. In short, the tours are categorized into Short (12-15 min), Long (18-22) and VIP (Long and Private).

Don’t let the short times fool you – even 12-15 minutes is a long time in the air and allows you to see all the important landmarks and views of NYC. I went on the longest (and most expensive) tour, 18-20 minutes, and though I loved every second, I won’t tell you it’s absolutely necessary.

All the tours leave from the Downtown Manhattan Heliport at Pier 6 and East River. It is next to the Staten Island Ferry and right near the Statue of Liberty Ferry, Wall St, etc.

Subway Heliport is between South Street Seaport and Staten Island Ferry. Or take the 1 or 9 to South Ferry Stop. Walk towards water keeping it on your right hand side. Heliport is between South Street Seaport and Staten Island Ferry.
