35th Annual Museum Mile Festival

Annual Museum Mile Festival NYC
Metropolitan Museum of Art

Tuesday, June 11th, 2013, 6-9pm Rain or Shine Fifth Ave, 82nd to 105th Streets

One day per year, ten of the world’s greatest Museums, spread along 23 city blocks, allow free access to over 50,000 attendees. Fifth Ave is closed to traffic and lined with live bands, art and entertainment.

New York Mets Baseball Tickets and Schedule

The Art of the Brick show opened in June 2013 and closes in January 2014.   Nathan Sawaya creates and builds spectactular art masterpieces out of Legos, (the little plastic building bricks that children play with).

Every year, stars such as Meryl Streep, Al Pacino and James Earl Jones perform modern interpretations of various Shakespeare plays in Central Park at the 1,800 seat open-air theater and they are attended by over 80,000 people. This year’s casts includes Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Hamish Linklater.

NYC Pride Week, Gay Pride Parade and Festival

NYC Gay Pride WeekJune 23-30, 2013

PrideFest (annual LGBT street fair), Sunday June 30, 2013, 11am – 7pm Hudson St (Abingdon Sq. & W 14th)

Gay Pride Week is a celebration of PRIDE, in NYC and beyond. Filled with a series of fabulous and fun events, the festivities begin with the Rally and culminate with the NYC Gay Pride Parade, typically held on the last day of the week in late June. Also held on the last day are the Gay Pride Festival, along with the annual Dance on the Pier, following the parade wrapping up Gay Pride Week in a grand fireworks display.
