Midtown East Restaurant Recommendations

My sisters and I are bringing mom to NYC for the Tennis US Open in September and staying at the Courtyard Marriott Midtown on 53rd and 3rd Ave. Any suggestions on a few good restaurants in that area? My sisters and i are game for about anything, Mom not quite so much. Budget, maybe $20 - $25 a plate.
