What’s New

The New York Knicks have completely turned around their season, mostly because of our newest miracle point guard, Jeremy Lin. In case you haven’t already caught “Linsanity,” the story is simple. Lin was undrafted out of Harvard in 2010, but later played with the Golden State Warriors and then the Houston Rockets. In December 2011, the Rockets waived Lin and on December 27th, when he started with the Knicks, he was living on his brother’s and friends’ couches.

I get asked the best way to see New York City in One Day all the time..and frankly, it’s an almost impossible question to answer! How can you see even the highlights of NYC in one day? It’s not easy, but at least two NYC tour companies have designed one day guided bus NYC tours that cover some basics including Times Square, the World Trade Center Site, Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller Center, Central Park Strawberry Fields and the Statue of Liberty. One of these New York in One Day Sightseeing Tours is even available, very often, at half price. So if you’re short on time, check out my top two One Day NYC Tour picks.

St Patrick’s Day in New York City – find out where to tap into the luck of the Irish. See the Parade, attend a Gala, partake in a Pub Crawl, catch a show, see Irish Rockers Black 47 at B.B. King’s Blues and more.

New in New York City

The New York Knicks have completely turned around their season, mostly because of our newest miracle point guard, Jeremy Lin. Since starting with the Knicks, Lin has outscored Kobe Bryant in a game against the Lakers, made the cover of Sports Illustrated and, as the NBA’s first American-born player of Chinese or Taiwanese descent, become a major role model for Asian-Americans. Knicks ticket prices go up daily, so now is the time to grab your New York Knicks tickets and catch the Linsanity live at MSG.

NYC Insider Print Guide Updates – many NYC attractions, such as the Museum of Natural History, Top of the Rock and Empire State Building have increased their rates for 2012. Nothing dramatic, mostly by a few dollars, but worth taking note. Also, Subway MetroCard Updates include: 1 and 14 day unlimited subway metro cards are no longer available, 7-Day card costs $29 and per ride is $2.25.
