Music by Bono and The Edge of U2. Direction by Julie Taymor of the The Lion King. Flying, stunts and breathtaking designs from an international team of artists from Broadway, Cirque du Soleil, the Beijing Olympics and the Spider-Man films. The backdrop of the whole show, is, of course, New York City.
Starring Evan Rachel Wood as Peter Parker's girlfriend, Mary Jane Watson and Alan Cumming as Norman Osborn, the villainous Green Goblin. Reeve Carney, of rock band Carney, will play Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

The new Year marks the beginning of the spring, the rebirth of the Earth and 2010 is the Year of the Tiger. Chinatown kicks off the New Year with 600,000 rounds of firecrackers, a traditional Lunar New Year practice believed to scare away evil spirits.
After opening ceremonies, a dozen Lion, Dragon and Unicorn dance troupes will march down the main streets of Chinatown. A massive festival in the heart of Chinatown will feature all-day cultural performances by traditional and contemporary Asian and Asian-American signers and dancers, along with promotional booths.

On February 21, check out the 11th Lunar New Year Parade & Festival. 11:30AM - 4:00PM, which begins in Little Italy and goes through the main streets of Lower Chinatown. See the Better Chinatown Society.
