As you saw on my About Me page, I love New York City so much, and I want YOU to love it, too!
I had so much great information about my favorite city, but needed to figure out to share it with you. How could I possibly show the world everything a fourth-generation New Yorker knows about NYC?
Hmmm...and could I really make this my living? Do something I love, live in my favorite place in the world, earn money in the process, and - oh, yeah - make the fun part of my life (enjoying NYC) tax deductible?

I had the privilege of meeting Elad, from Coolest Parties, in late 2009, during his visit from Israel to NYC with his whole family. Elad is one of the all-time most successful SBI-ers.
He had just purchased a new home in Israel, with no mortgage, from his website income. He shared some amazing stories and website tips with me, including how he had also visited Jim and Fiona from Rent a Villa in Tuscany, earlier in 2009.
Elad and I also met up with Nori, from Anguilla Beaches, who happens to now live down the street in NYC, since starting school. Nori started her site when she was 14!!
Now she is in college and has a totally passive income business that earns her college spending money, and then some. She can spend more time on her studies or social life, because she does not need a job while she's in school.
I had used Nori's site as one of my many inspirations and examples while building this one. It was almost like I was copying her business. I felt like I was stealing, only I wasn't. Well, I got to repay the favor by helping her settle in NYC and even showing her how and where to go surfing!
Susan from Boston Discovery Guide is one of my mentors and inspirations. I hope to have a site as great as hers soon. We chat and share ideas all the time via email.
My brother lives in Boston, and is an incredible photographer (just like my Dad). Now Susan is going to add some of his photos to her site, crediting him, and who knows, maybe he'll be able to earn some money from his favorite hobby someday soon?
I cant wait to visit another Susan from Irelands Hidden Gems. She and I have become firm friends while building our websites on opposite sides of the pond. Susan tells me, "I need a blast of wild Atlantic wind in my hair to shake off the NYC dust or some French laissez faire at her house in France," since that what its all about with SBI, laptops by the pool.
Or how, B (yes, her name is "B") from Outback Australia, also one of the most successful SBI-ers, earns over 5 figures MONTHLY, and traveled more than half of 2009, all over the world while her income INCREASED every month.
